Claude for Coaches: Give Your AI Partner a Real Memory of Your Clients

Coaches who use Claude hit the same wall: you have to re-explain every client before you can think with the AI. Who they are, what they're working on, where they got stuck last session — all of it, every time. Claude doesn't remember.

With Stash, it does. Stash is a hosted MCP record store that connects to Claude. Your client profiles, session notes, goals, and breakthroughs live in Stash. Claude reads them on demand. You stop re-briefing and start coaching.

What coaches store in Stash

Before a session

Two minutes before a client call, you type:

search("Marcus Chen")

Claude returns everything you've stored about Marcus: his goals (becoming VP Engineering without burning out), the limiting belief that surfaced in session 3 (he equates asking for help with incompetence), the action item from last time (delegate one project by end of month). You didn't paste any notes. Stash retrieved them.

You start the session with full context.

After a session

Right after the call ends, while it's fresh:

add(collection="sessions", record={
  "client": "Marcus Chen",
  "date": "2026-06-07",
  "key_insight": "He made the delegation ask — boss said yes. Identity shift: he's reconsidering what strength means.",
  "next_action": "Run a team meeting without preparing every answer in advance",
  "pattern": "His wins come fastest when they challenge a specific belief, not just a behaviour"
})

That note is permanent. Before the next session: search("Marcus Chen pattern") — Claude shows every pattern note you've logged. The full arc of this client's work, available in seconds.

Working on your practice, not just in it

Stash isn't just for client notes. Coaches use it to build a searchable library of their own frameworks:

add(collection="frameworks", record={
  "name": "Identity-first change",
  "summary": "Behaviour change sticks when the client first shifts who they believe they are",
  "best-for": "Clients whose actions contradict their stated values",
  "example": "Marcus: 'strong people delegate' → behaviour change followed naturally"
})

Ask Claude: search("identity") — it pulls your accumulated thinking on identity-based change. Over time, your Stash becomes a searchable record of your methodology.

Group coaching and cohorts

Running a cohort? Store each participant's profile and weekly check-ins under a shared collection tag. Before the group call:

search("cohort-june-2026 week-3")

Claude surfaces everyone's progress. You walk into the session knowing who's struggling, who had a breakthrough, who needs to be heard first.

Privacy note: Each Stash account is private and scoped to the Google account that signed up. Your client notes are not shared with other users. That said, Stash is cloud-hosted — use your professional judgement about what to store for clients in regulated sectors.
